   The confirmation hearing will not yield any real news – but may produce controversy and talk show fodder. The sun will rise in the east tomorrow, and Sotomayor will be confirmed. The Republicans simply do not have the power to block her confirmation right now. And there actually are some Republicans around that are smart enough to know that going after Sotomayor will make the party look bad/worse. Why make yourself look bad when you cannot win? The smart Republicans are going to keep their mouths shut, and a couple agitators will not be able to stay quiet. So those few dumb comments will get some attention – but there is no news here folks, keep moving, nothing to see here.
