Letterman’s either ramping it up for publicity or he’s personalizing this incident just a smidgen, like you said. I used to love his show and attended a taping of it once. It seemed as though I was the only black person in the audience, and he made eye contact with me and I felt uncomfortable. I was hoping he wouldn’t crack a joke about me. Who cares if McCain was a no-show? That guy is boring anyway. One curmudgeon on the show is enough.

Do you remember when he would get on Oprah about not appearing on his show; he would not let it go. But it all ended well, in McCain’s case he is REALLY BITTER….
