Check yo’ self, troll. The Snob will STEAL your VOWELS!As I’ve reported previously there has been more and more problems with people engaging in increasingly rude behavior on the Snob Blog. For the most part, people are respectful and engage in purposeful discussions, but lately the increasing number of spam, racist language and general rudeness has moved me to impose a “disemvoweling” policy and rules for commenting.

The rules are simple. Anyone can comment, even anonymously. You can even argue with one another, but the following things will not be tolerated:

    For a minute, I thought this post was referring to me. Since I only made one slightly off-color remark yesterday out of hundreds, and I’m pretty funny, kind and polite, I guess I’m not the target. Phew! So all you people who use STFU and curse words, and belittling language, beware. We’re watching you! Especially this kettle.

    @ dukedravenNo. I don’t even have a problem with cursing (as I obviously drop the F-bomb on the blog all the time). And this wasn’t directed at you. This is for the assholes. I often delete them before they make it fully to the surface, but I’ve let a few slide in the past and now, I’m just tired. I done stood all that I can stand and I can’t stands no more.Just don’t be an asshat. Or a douche. It is ALL I’ve ever asked.

Now most of them are just his voice interviewing and narrating, but just have a pic of him in another window and let your mind play the love game lol. Wow im so sick with my obsession.

    Snob: May I still be super-snobby/siddity/jackandjillish and still call certain black folks "bamma," "ghettofabolous," "dirty thugs?" May I still hold out Depro and Norplant as legit, ways to stop some intractable problems in our communities…and keep crazy celebrities/rappers/certain athletes from reproducing? May I still say that real Housewives of ATL, Tyler Perry and Roland Burris represent a trough, not a peak? What about whitefolks–would ti be rude call many fo the deranged? May I use the term "white trash" (e.g., ever notice on Lovelines w/Dr. Drew Pinsky all fo the 17 year olds who call up, confess a pregnancy, abuse and drug use are all engaged to 21 year old bumpkins about to get shipped off to Iraq…thus showing that there’s been an 8 year stimulus plan for Red States, with the military as employer of last resort for the average dumb redneck or hick, and bases and farm subsidies/pork employing the pregnant waifs they leave behind?). How about that–is that OK? 😉

    @ ChrisThe trolls are mostly plaguing the older version of the blog. I usually delete the worst offenders and let the rest stand. I’m not big on censorship. But I wrote this in reference to an individual who keeps leaving long, self-serving, pointless comments on one particular thread and most recently, felt the need to pretty much slander all Chinese people and designer Jason Wu without any real provocation. That’s mostly what I have a problem with, along with the occasional person who compares the First Lady to an ape and things got a weeeeee out of hand on both the recent Tiger Woods and Rihanna/Chris Brown threads with people being borderline disrespectful of one another (especially on the Rihanna thread) and I don’t think I did a good job of getting people to knock it off once they started launching into personal attacks on one another.So, please, no worries about curse words or being snarky. I have an issue with actual slander, sexist and racist language. That’s really what I’m trying to stop before it gets started.
